FCC confirms Nokia C3 is real
April 1st, 2010
After hearing rumors about Nokia C5 and Nokia C6 – part of the new Nokia Cseries – another phone popped up in the wild and now it’s being confirmed by the FCC thanks to its approval. The Nokia C3 was discovered by Unwired View and, despite having only a sketch image of the phone’s back, we can say it’s a candybar – although quite wide which could mean Nokia put a QWERTY keyboard on it.
Nokia already stated that Cseries devices will “focus on social interaction between friends and family”, so a keyboard might be relevant to the Nokia C3.

Olive introduces in India AAA-powered handset
March 8th, 2010
There’s no doubt that cell phone batteries are the weakest point in the mobile chain and removable batteries are ok but not cool to carry. With this in mind, Olive Telecom announced the FrvrOn V-G2300, a GSM cell phone powered by a single AAA battery besides the standard Li-ion. The FrvrOn V-G2300 has a 1.5-inch color display and FM radio, and not much more, but it has enough to be the choice among travellers or workers in areas where there are no consistent power. The extra AAA battery can provide up to one hour of talk time in case main battery runs out. Add it the price point – about $37 – and you have a decent handset that could save you in those moments.

The new LG Cookie Fresh should be cheaper than the LG Cookie Plus simply because it has fewer features and lacks 3G.
