Official Twitter Client for BlackBerry released in public beta
April 9th, 2010
The Official Twitter Client for BlackBerry smartphones has been released to users in form of public beta, after a couple of months in private, closed-doors testing. The app got some improvements during these two months, including notification support for DMs, replies and mentions, ability to create and manage lists, profile editing and improved performance. Although RIM has made it very clear this Official Twitter Client is still a beta and might have bugs, it’s a free download for a useful app.

RIM BlackBerry Beta Zone: try apps for free
March 26th, 2010
RIM launched today BlackBerry Beta Zone, an area where you can test out beta versions of RIM apps, or even maintenance releases. The service is for free for Canada, US and UK residents and you can sign up, download stuff, test it and provide some feedback. This way you’ll have the chance to try new and upcoming apps before they get their way to the market, such as BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.1. Don’t expect bug-free or final apps, but if you like to toy with your BlackBerry a little, BlackBerry Beta Zone could be interesting.

More BlackBerry slider images
March 4th, 2010
Yesterday we posted some blurry images of the rumored BlackBerry slider and today BBleaks brings us even clearer pictures, with much better resolution. Although we can clearly see the BB slider now, they don’t reveal much more about this mysterious slider in terms of hardware. In one of the pictures we can see a BlackBerry Curve 8900 side by side to get a better idea of how the BB slider will look like in real life.

Is this the BlackBerry Storm3 slider phone?
March 3rd, 2010
We’ve been hearing rumors that BlackBerry was developing an slider version of a new BlackBerry device. Well, aparently these rumours are getting real with these photos that show a BlackBerry device with a vertical-sliding QWERTY keyboard. From what we can see in the pictures, the BlackBerry slider also sports a touchscreen display and optical trackpad, like the latest BlackBerry phones. Supposedly, the new BlackBerry slider should come with BlackBerry OS 6.0, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity, but apart from that, there isn’t much more.
