ZTE will introduce digital mobile TV and Android phones to Argentina

ZTE wants to expand its operations globally and, aside from the planned release of several Android phones in Europe, wants to grow strong in Latin America. Patricia Li, regional PR manager, stated that ZTE will introduce digital mobile TV in Argentina using an USB antenna – Antenna sold by carrier Vivo in Brazil now – and will release several mid-range Android phones – in a u$s100~150 price range, compared to u$s200~300 similar offers today.

Motorola Milestone: Android 2.1 update available in UK

As Motorola continues to roll out Motorola Milestone Android 2.1 update around the world, UK users can now download the new firmware to get the latest features of Google’s mobile operating system, codenamed eclair. This update brings many new improvements and features like Text to Speech support, 9 home screens and improved stability and security for exchange server users.

LG GT540 Optimus with Android official

LG introduced a new Android smartphone named LG GT540 Optimus. The LG Optimus will be available in UK starting May 1st and later will hit the rest of the european countries.

The LG GT540 Optimus has a 3 inch HVGA touchscreen display, 3MP camera with geo-tagging, GPS, Wi-Fi, DivX and Xvid support, 3.5mm jack, microSD slot and a Social Networking client which supports Facebook, Twitter and Bebo accounts. The LG Optimus is a quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS phone and will run Android – not clear if 1.6 or 2.1 version – with a customized UI on top.

HTC Droid Incredible available April 29 via Verizon

Verizon finally announced yesterday the HTC Incredible, after a long wave of rumors. The HTC Incredible will be available starting April 29th for %199.99 with a two-year contract agreement and after a $100 mail-in rebate. The HTC Incredible will sport a 3.7 inch WVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display, Android 2.1, HTC Sense UI, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack and 8MP camera, making into one of the coolest Android phones at the moment.

Dell Mini 3T1 heading to China

Dell Mini 3T1, which might be Dell‘s second smartphone after the Dell Mini 3i launched a few months earlier, just appeared in China. The Mini 3T1 features TD-SCDMA connectivity and China Mobile logo so it probably will be launched soon in that country. The Dell Mini 3T1 appears to be a low-end, affordable phone, sporting a 2MP camera and running OPhone – China Mobile’s own version of Android.

Samsung Galaxy S hits the FCC

Samsung‘s Android flagship phone, the Samsung Galaxy S, might be landing in the US earlier than expected, as the super smartphone has been confirmed by FCC. This could mean that the Samsung Galaxy S might hit the US and specifically AT&T because of the matching the 3G bands. If the Galaxy S arrives to AT&T, this could mean a huge step for Ma Bell in terms of Android offering, which is currently limited to Motorola Backflip.

MOTODEV Summit in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil

Motorola has been putting all efforts in developing Android smartphones lately, and it seems these efforts are becoming global. Motorola has just announced MOTODEV Summit to be held in three Latin American countries: Brazil, Mexico and Argentina. MOTODEV Summit is intended to provide tools, guides, marketing studies and support to Android developers. This way MOTO is supporting Android development even in emerging markets where smartphones are still behind in sales against feature phones.

LG LU2300 Android phone details emerge

LG is reportedly about to launch a new Android phone under the name LG LU2300, which can be compared to the best Android smartphones out there like the Nexus One and Motorola Milestone. Although the LG LU2300 might not hit US nor even other country apart from South Korea, it will be launched in April or May. Supposedly, the LG LU2300 will sport a 3.5 inch AMOLED display, 5MP camera, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, sliding QWERTY keyboard, Android 2.1, DivX HD playback, Wi-Fi, GPS and DMB tuner.

Samsung Galaxy S i9000 to cost 600 euro; preview

Mobile-review grabbed some extra details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S i9000 which was showcased at CTIA by Samsung. The Samsung Galaxy S is the first Android smartphone to sport a Super AMOLED display (being the second for Samsung after the Bada-powered Samsung S8500 Wave) and according to Mobile-review it will be available in June. Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S will reportedly cost about 30,000 rubles (about 755 euro) but the price will go down to other european countries to 600 euro.

Samsung Galaxy S Pro QWERTY phone in the works?

Samsung might announce soon a new version of the recently announced Samsung Galaxy S with full QWERTY keyboard, named Samsung Galaxy S Pro. Launched a few days ago at CTIA, the Samsung Galaxy S is the new Android flagship smartphone of the manufacturer. Sporting an impressive 4” WVGA AMOLED display and a 1 GHz CPU, the Galaxy S was well received, and Samsung supposedly wants to extend its good impression releasing the Samsung Galaxy S Pro with the same specs as the original one, except for the added full QWERTY keyboard.
