Opera Mini 5 beta native for Windows Mobile 5/6 available

March 4th, 2010

Opera announced a new native version of its Opera Mini 5 beta browser for Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6 smartphones. The native part means it doesn’t require Java to run, so the Windows Mobile devices that lack Java support are now able to run Opera Mini 5. Opera says Opera Mini 5 compresses data traffic by up to 90 percent, which helps it load websites faster than competing browsers and lowers data browsing costs for those that pay by the megabyte.
