Microsoft shows off XNA games on Windows Phone: Awesome

March 10th, 2010

A bunch of photos appeared on the net showing off 3D games running on the upcoming Windows Phone 7 using the Asus prototype Microsoft showed at MWC. These games are built with its new XNA Game Studio 4.0, a game development platform with many technologies seen before in Windows desktop version like Direct3D. The game shown in the first picture is The Harvest, a touch-controlled dungeon crawler developed by Luma Arcade. Of course these pictures are meant to show what Windows Phone will be capable of in terms of 3D gaming, but they refused anyone to grab a picture or video of the process.

Anyway, if this is an indicative of quality of Windows Phone 7 games, all gamers should be anxious to get their hands on one of the WinPho 7 phones when they hit the market in a few months.
