LG Cookie Fresh GS290 officially announced
March 9th, 2010
LG has officially announced the LG Cookie Fresh GS290, the second successor to the original LG Cookie – and all its variations around the world like LG FreeTouch – after the previously announced LG Cookie Plus GS500. The LG Cookie Fresh sports a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display, Cartoon UI, 2MP camera, social network integration, FM radio and 3.5 mm headset jack. Unfortunately, the LG Cookie Fresh doesn’t have 3G like the LG Cookie Plus.
Both the Cookie Fresh and LG Cookie Plus are trying to continue the success of the original Cookie phone, of which 12 million units had been sold so far. LG has plans to sell these phone in more than 50 countries by the end of the year.

The LG Cookie Plus and the LG Cookie Fresh will be launched in Europe this month and they will be available in a variety of color versions. LG hasn’t announced official prices for the phones, but both will surely be on the budget side with the LG Cookie Fresh costing slightly less than the LG Cookie Plus.
